Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Accountant | London (in office 3 days a week) | £60 000

I’m partnering with an innovative, AIM-listed life sciences organisation operating at the forefront of AI-driven clinical trials.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) to make their first move into industry. Step into a broad, hands-on group role with real exposure to listed company reporting, IFRS, tax, systems improvement and commercial projects.

You’ll be responsible for:

✔ Monthly group reporting and consolidation

✔ Preparation of statutory accounts (IFRS) and AIM reporting requirements

✔ VAT, corporation tax and R&D tax credit submissions (with advisors)

✔ Balance sheet ownership and reconciliations

✔ Budgeting, forecasting and financial insight for stakeholders

✔ Revenue reporting and payroll accounting oversight

✔ Supporting audit processes and maintaining strong internal controls

✔ Driving process improvements and finance systems optimisation

✔ Involvement in wider projects including systems implementation, fundraising and acquisitions

✔ Supporting international entities (including the US)

Requirements:

• Newly qualified ACA / ACCA
• Confidence preparing IFRS statutory accounts for a listed company
• Solid understanding of UK tax
• Advanced Excel and strong MS Office skills
• A process-improvement mindset
• Strong attention to detail and controls
• Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
