Salary Guide: £300 - £325 Per Day

Our client, a Family Office based in Central London is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join the team for a period of 6-12 months. The successful candidate will have significant experience in preparing group accounts and be able to work effectively within a small head office function. An early August start is required with interviews next week.

Description

The responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain accounting records on Xero for a complex group with many entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for head office entities and annual statutory accounts.
• Review and prepare consolidations for group management and statutory accounts.
• Liaise with auditors helping to answer queries and progress audits.
• Work with portfolio companies in relation to accounting and tax matters.
• Take responsibility for the submission of group VAT returns / ONS returns.
• Prepare payment runs for processing.
• Help head office team to evolve and improve processes.
• Help with company secretarial and administrative matters.
• Take on various ad hoc accounting projects as required.

Skills

The skills of the Group Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with at least 1-2 years’ post-qualified experience.
• Previous experience preparing consolidated accounts and bookkeeping.
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
