Group Financial Controller

Location: Leicester (2 days on-site, 3 days from home)

We are supporting this high growth private equity owned business based in Leicester who are seeking a new Group Financial Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations for the UK & Ireland business. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and high-quality reporting across all business units. This is a senior leadership role with significant influence, working closely with the wider management team to support continued growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of five finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of multi-currency group financial statements in line with relevant GAAP.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.
• Review and maintain monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations to uphold financial integrity.
• Oversee recurring tax activities including VAT, PAYE, P11D and support for Corporation Tax submissions.
• Support group-wide budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, with particular emphasis on Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, acting as the key liaison for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance, driving the adoption of best-practice processes.

Ideally we are seeking individuals who are practice trained and have worked in industry for 3-4 years.
