Job Title: Group Financial Controller
Location: Egham (Possible travel to Manchester and Birmingham)
Reports To: Managing Director and managing 1-2 direct reports
Job Type: Full-Time office based
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Group Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations and manage the accounts for three entities within our design production company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial controllership, management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for three entities in the UK.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Manage the consolidation of financial statements for the group.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring and forecasting cash requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Minimum of 5 years of post qualification experience in a similar role, preferably within a design, production or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in financial management software (Sage 200) and Advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing the finances and accounts of multiple entities.
- Experience with financial consolidation and reporting.
- Previous experience in a design production or related industry is preferred.
