Job Title: Group Financial Controller (GFC)

Location: London – Hybrid (3 days in office)

Salary: £90,000 + Bonus (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Team: Small Finance Team (1 GFC + 3 FTEs)

Reporting To: CFO

This is a confidential opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional to take ownership of the finance function for a fast-growing, PE-backed global business, supporting the CFO and senior leadership team across multiple international markets.

The Group Financial Controller will oversee:

Full end-to-end finance function, including balance sheet, cash flow, and P&L
Financial reporting and consolidation for multiple global entities (Middle East, US, Singapore, Australia)
Treasury management, audit, and tax compliance
FP&A and commercial partnering, including budgeting, forecasting, project profitability, and cash flow management
Finance team management, processes, and systems implementation

Key Responsibilities

Produce timely, accurate monthly management accounts, board packs, and consolidated group results with meaningful analysis

Lead the preparation of audit-ready accounts, statutory filings, and tax compliance across UK and international subsidiaries

Maintain robust financial controls and drive continual process improvements, leveraging AI and automation where possible

Support ERP/PSA system implementation and integration to streamline finance operations

Oversee treasury, cash flow, and working capital management, including forecasting and FX considerations

Act as a commercial partner to the business, translating technical financial information for founders and the board

Manage and develop a small finance team, delegating effectively and fostering efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in a Group FC or senior controllership role
Strong technical accounting expertise (UK GAAP, IFRS, consolidations, IFRS 15/16)
Experienced in FP&A, forecasting, project profitability, and financial analysis
Proven ability to operate across multiple international entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance
Comfortable in a fast-growing, dynamic environment with a hands-on, commercially savvy approach

Strong communicator, able to present complex financial information clearly to the CFO, founders, and board

Excellent organizational and delegation skills, with experience improving finance processes and implementing systems

Desirable:

Experience in PE-backed businesses
Exposure to multi-country consolidation and international operations
