Group Financial Controller – PE backed High-growth International Consultancy – London
Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth international consultancy as Group Financial Controller. Operating across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, the business continues to expand rapidly and requires a commercially astute, fully qualified accountant to take ownership of group financial control and operations.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a talented finance team, strengthen financial governance, and partner with senior leadership on key strategic initiatives. With a remit spanning audit, financial reporting, payroll, and systems transformation, this role offers clear progression and the chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic, global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, monthly management accounts, and board reporting.
- Lead the end-to-end audit process, ensuring timely delivery and strong compliance.
- Manage payroll operations across multiple geographies, ensuring accuracy and alignment with tax/HR regulations.
- Drive automation and process improvement across finance operations including ERP optimisation.
- Mentor and develop a team of 10, building a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business, providing clear financial insight and guidance.
Essential Background:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with 5+ years PQE.
- Big 4 training or equivalent technical grounding in audit and financial reporting.
- Strong track record in financial control, operations, and leadership.
- Experience within a private equity-backed or high-growth international business.
- Demonstrable expertise in process optimisation and systems transformation (ERP implementations or upgrades).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
