About The Role
We are looking for a high calibre professional to lead our Safeguarding and Care Planning Teams. We work on the premise that children should be raised within their families wherever possible, providing it is safe for them. We work with children who are subject to Child in Need Plans and Child Protection Plans as well those that require a legal framework to support them, including children entering care through care proceedings.
We strive to work with their family to create and promote the enabling environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will need to have energy, enthusiasm and motivation to deliver outstanding services for children and families and support continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will need to provide strong leadership, support and challenge to a settled management team. They will be responsible for the effective and efficient provision, delivery, development and performance of services provided by the Safeguarding West Service, in line with legislation, regulations, guidance and standards and internal policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will work with the Safeguarding and Care Planning Service ensuring the objectives of joined up working with colleagues within the Division, Department and wider Council and with key stakeholders, both locally, regionally and nationally. They will need to adhere to the practice standards set out in Bromley and will need to provide regular, high quality, reflective supervision to team managers.
The ideal candidate will need to engage in regular quality assurance activity to ensure that the standard of practice across the service remains consistently good or above and takes proactive corrective action if performance falls below expected standards.
