At Agincare, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading independent care providers, with over 90 services nationwide. Family-owned and founded on strong values, we’ve grown steadily for over 35 years, delivering high-quality care and support to thousands of people every day across home care, live-in care, extra care, and care homes.
We are now seeking a Quality Director to join our senior leadership team — a pivotal role at the heart of our commitment to safe, ethical, and consistently excellent care.
The Role
As our Quality Director, you’ll hold strategic accountability for the design, leadership, and delivery of Agincare’s quality, safety, and governance framework. You will drive group-wide improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory excellence and best-in-class care outcomes across a national portfolio of diverse services.
You’ll act as a key advisor to the Executive Board, a leader of system-wide audits and quality clinics, and the Caldicott Guardian ensuring ethical, secure use of service user data. Your influence will span clinical governance, stakeholder engagement, risk, and national research partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
The Quality Director will be the strategic lead for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all Agincare services. You'll shape and deliver our internal audit and governance programmes, oversee CQC registration activities, and drive forward our ISO9001 quality management standards.
You'll lead on complex incident investigations, inquests, and safeguarding matters — ensuring organisational learning and regulatory compliance are always at the forefront. As Caldicott Guardian, you will champion ethical data use and ensure full alignment with GDPR and DSPT requirements.
Externally, you'll act as a senior liaison to commissioners, regulators, and health and care partners, strengthening Agincare’s reputation as a quality leader. You'll also spearhead survey and data-led improvement programmes, contribute to national research and quality networks, and guide the development of our specialist care frameworks — from dementia and end-of-life care to veterans support.
Finally, you’ll take ownership of executive-level reporting, providing insights and assurance to the board, and ensure clear succession planning and continuity across your function.
