Group Reporting Manager to join our finance team.
We have friendly, modern offices which are close to Westminster, Victoria and St James Park stations, and the team work on a hybrid model.
What you'll be doing
The finance team provides a series of key functions and is pivotal to the growing company as we set best in class practices and processes, ensuring financial information is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting and taxation principles.
As the Group Reporting Manager, you’ll report to the Group Financial Controller, with duties and responsibilities to include:
- Prepare and/or review fully compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual 20F reporting process including engaging with external auditors, and external advisors.
- Own the compliance risk register and maintain a rolling review and test plan for SOX and non-SOX controls.
- Partner with the Group Financial Controller, working proactively on improvements to reporting, global policies and accounting to mitigate risk and enable growth and scalability.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on IFRS and its application, to ensure compliant financial submissions, including key risks areas such as Revenue recognition.
- Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partnering across the finance teams and other areas of the business.
- Supporting in the growth of the business including international expansion.
- Provide support/lead ad hoc projects as requested
What we're looking for
We are looking for a self-motivated Group Reporting Manager to join our team and help with the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and reporting. The ideal person will be a technically-strong individual who will become a key member of the team, and will constantly be looking to use automation and seeking to streamline processes while maintaining a strong internal control environment. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who can deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be able to translate technical terms easily.
We would expect candidates for this role to meet most or all of the following criteria:
- Qualified accountant with relevant experience
- Experience of working in a global finance environment
- Experience in a multi-currency and multi-site organisation
- Strong technical IFRS experience in preparing accounting memo’s and preparing statutory accounts
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be flexible, in a changing environment
