Salary: Starting Salary is £24,790 FTE (Level one) rising to £25,584 FTE (Level three) per annum (pro rata for part-time) - pay award pending

About The Role
To help maintain and improve the appearance and structure of the building. To work as part of the staff team to meet general cleaning schedules. To take responsibility for monitoring specific health and safety checks and completing records, and undertake planned maintenance programmes such as painting and decorating, waste disposals, furniture assembly, and undertake minor maintenance repairs. To identify and report to the duty manager any potential maintenance repairs and security issues relating to the fixtures and fabric of the building.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of the safe use and storage of any tools, equipment or materials used.
- A practical and knowledgeable approach to the safety of the building and its equipment.
- Experience of basic gardening and DIY, including experience of maintaining waste outlets, drains and other mechanical installations.
- Able to undertake routine domestic tasks and minor maintenance.
- Able to recognise the need for routine testing and recording of systems presenting a potential risk to health and safety of clients and staff, and good working knowledge of health & safety and building regulations.
- Ability to liaise with a variety of contractors and deliver information.
- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
