Role Summary

As part of Rokstone’s continued growth, we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head of BDX Management to lead our Bordereaux (BDX) function. This role will take ownership of the end-to-end production and governance of Written, Paid, and Claims BDX across all classes of business. You will lead and develop the BDX team to deliver accurate and timely reporting, establish scalable processes, and ensure best-in-class communication with carriers and internal stakeholders.

The role will be central to building a robust operational framework to support Rokstone’s ambitious growth trajectory, ensuring BDX processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with underwriting, delegated authority, and finance requirements.

Role Accountabilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, manage, and develop the BDX team to deliver timely and accurate Written, Paid, and Claims BDX.
• Allocate resources effectively across BAU, projects, and ad-hoc carrier/stakeholder requests.
• Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Operational Excellence

• Own the delivery of all BDX outputs to carriers, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Establish and maintain structured processes for BDX production, quality assurance, and audit readiness.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology to drive automation and scalability.
• Oversee responses to carrier queries and requests, ensuring they are managed in a structured and professional manner.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for carriers on all BDX matters, fostering strong, effective relationships.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Delegated Authority, Claims, and Finance) to ensure alignment of BDX with business processes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with technology and operations teams to deliver automated solutions and system enhancements for BDX reporting.

Governance & MI

• Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s, carrier, and internal reporting requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of MI and reporting packs for ExCo and other senior forums.
• Support insurer audits and regulatory reviews, providing structured responses and ensuring audit readiness.
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

• Significant experience in producing/managing Bordereaux within an MGA, Syndicate, or underwriting environment.
• Deep understanding of Binding Authority and Facility business, and the London Market processes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team, both in-person and remotely.
• Experience implementing process and system improvements, with a focus on automation and scalability.
• Strong track record of stakeholder management, including with carriers, underwriters, and DA teams.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence in representing Rokstone to carriers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience in interpreting and processing standard (Lloyd’s v5) and non-standard Bordereaux.
• Competence in using Bordereaux management software and producing high-quality MI.
