Head of Change and Strategy

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Change & Strategy. This is a pivotal, high-impact role responsible for overseeing our entire portfolio of change initiatives, ensuring they are strategically aligned with our business goals, and establishing the governance framework to guarantee their successful execution. You will be at the intersection of business strategy and execution, helping to shape our future and drive our growth in the rapidly evolving digital healthcare landscape.
To be considered for the the role you will require the following:
Essential Criteria;
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Leadership and management training
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior portfolio management, program management, or strategy role, preferably within a fast-paced technology or digital healthcare company.
- Deep expertise in portfolio management methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of strategic planning, business case development, and financial modelling.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also possessing a strong grasp of operational details.
- Experience in establishing and maturing governance frameworks within a growing organisation.
- Experience working in an SME or a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in an Agile or hybrid-Agile environment
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities to support the organisation as required
- Experience with portfolio management software (e.g., Jira Align, Planview, Monday.com, etc.).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Computer literate - Microsoft Office (Word, excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Knowledge of digital health technologies (e.g., EHR, telehealth, patient portals).
Within this position, you will mainly be;
- Lead the management of the company's change portfolio, which includes all strategic projects and programs across technology, product, operations, and commercial teams.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on strategic value, resource availability, and risk.
- Monitor and report on the progress, risks, and benefits of the portfolio to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular portfolio review meetings to ensure alignment, resolve dependencies, and make informed go/no-go decisions.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to translate the company's long-term vision and strategy into actionable change initiatives.
- Own the strategic planning process for the portfolio, including annual and quarterly planning cycles.
- Conduct strategic analysis and business case development for new initiatives, defining scope, resource requirements, and expected business outcomes.
- Act as a strategic partner to departmental heads, helping them define and structure their change initiatives.
- Establish and continuously improve the change governance framework for the organisation. This includes defining standards for project initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
- Implement robust processes for risk management, dependency management, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
- Develop and maintain a consistent set of metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and value of the portfolio.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key liaison between senior leadership and delivery teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Communicate the strategic context and importance of change initiatives to a wide range of audiences.

The person appointed to this role will report to the Chief Technology Officer. They will also work closely with other members of the SLT and staff at all levels.
