Interim Senior Commercial Finance Role

A well-established, technology-led organisation is seeking an interim Senior Commercial Finance professional to lead a large commercial finance function. This is a senior leadership role with strong visibility, partnering directly with executive leadership to shape company strategy, optimize investment decisions, and drive long-term profitability.

The role

• Lead, build, and scale a large finance & strategy team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Drive strategic decision-making and capital allocation across the business
• Own and improve financial planning, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
• Build and maintain complex financial models and business cases used across the organisation
• Track and analyse key business KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Partner with senior leaders across functions to influence strategy and drive execution
• Lead high-impact initiatives and special projects that support growth and operational efficiency

The ideal candidate

• 8+ years’ experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking
• Proven track record leading large, high-performing teams in a fast-growing company
• Strong experience owning budgets and forecasts for major organisational functions
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide strategic decisions
• Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills (advanced Excel/Google Sheets)
• Comfortable working with large datasets and basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn)
• Passionate about developing talent and setting a gold standard for finance excellence
