What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Alliance Director in liaison with the business partners’ to align terms and conditions to enable signature of the alliance contract.
- Identify commercial and operational risks which could impact both business partners’ and the client in developing strategic plans to deliver Sizewell C.
- Develop strategic skylines to enable the development of the alliance and continue to grow the “plan for the plan”.
- Input into the development of commercial & procurement scope of work to ensure Funding Investment Decision (FID) is met.
- Ensuring all business partners are fully communicated to in respect of client decisions and negotiation points to move towards contract signature.
- Commercial client interface.
- Review and comment on potential works information documents with relation to work scope and contract documentation.
- Support and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
- To ensure all governance processes both client and business partners alike are met.
- Senior internal and external stakeholder engagement and consultation to support successful project approvals and outcomes.
- Accurate and timely provision of strategic reporting information to support programme, function, and project reporting requirements.
- Providing strategic input into project wide initiatives as required by the Commercial
- Proactive management of both cost and time savings and efficiencies
- Providing sound Commercial support, leadership and direction to the wider programme team.
- Supporting the management team with input into the project schedule.
- Supporting the development of integrated working practices with the commercial function and permeating trust throughout the organisation.
- Consideration of the nuclear baseline and distribution of nuclear safety significant responsibilities within the team, whilst remaining cognisant of integrated working practices and initiatives on the project (MEHA).
- Commercial management in accordance with MEHA governance requirements to meet SZC project and business objectives.
- Providing strategic input and support to all finance and project controls including the support of financial, cost forecasting and reporting requirements.
- Support the professional development of self and people within the team.
- Ensuing MEHA values are embedded within the team and their high performing team to expertly, efficiently, and consistently delivers positive results.
- Ensuring that the principles and importance of diversity and inclusion are embedded and permeate throughout the organisation.
Who we're looking for
- Degree in relevant discipline (or equivalent).
- Member of professional body is preferred.
- Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
- Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects
- Experienced in delivering commercially varying contract models
- Experienced in working in an Alliance environment
- Able to demonstrate an extensive track record of working as part of a large project commercial team to administer contracts successfully.
