Head of Communications and Engagement – Transport Industry

Location: Greater London (West)

Leading organisation in the transport sector is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Internal Communications Lead to support a fast-evolving area of the business. This high-impact role partners closely with senior leadership, including at Executive Team level, to drive employee engagement, support organisational change, and manage reputation risk.

The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in transformation communications, in setting up teams, plans and clearly defined ways of working for new initiatives, along with experience working in large, multinational and multisite organisations. They will be a confident communicator, capable of influencing at the highest levels, and skilled in crafting compelling narratives around innovation, AI, and business transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advises senior leaders on internal communications strategy and planning.
• Develops messaging and narratives for transformation initiatives and emerging topics.
• Leads executive communications and employee engagement campaigns, ensuring there is a consistency and avoiding duplication with other teams.
• Manages change communications and reputational risk.
• Oversees internal channels and content, including intranet and LinkedIn.
• Coaches and leads a small team.
• Plans and delivers leadership events and town halls.
