Eames Consulting are currently partnering with a leading Lloyd's insurer on the appointment of a Head of Compliance. This role will be based in London and aids the SMF16 in the ongoing development and implementation of the oversight and operation of the Regulatory Compliance Framework. This role is in the London office a minimum of 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance Framework: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and frameworks (e.g., Regulatory Risk Universe, Product Governance Framework) to ensure business compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Monitoring and Training: Create and oversee annual Compliance Monitoring and Training Plans, ensuring proper execution and delivery across the business.
- Regulatory Engagement and Advisory: Serve as the liaison with regulators (e.g., Lloyd's, FCA), provide regulatory advice to internal groups, and communicate updates and responses to regulatory changes.
- Operational Oversight: Manage core compliance functions such as complaints handling, data protection compliance, sanctions screening, and the Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
- Governance and Oversight Coordination: Support business governance activities, including Lloyd's Oversight Principles self-assessment and internal reviews of new business opportunities for regulatory compliance.
Key Requirements:
- Min 5 + years compliance insurance experience within the Lloyd's market.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Team player attitude.
- Relevant professional qualifications and strong academic record.
