About This Opportunity
Connect to Work is a new supported employment programme that forms a key part of the governments Get Britain Working strategy. Councils in Cumbria are receiving funding from the Department of Work and Pensions to develop and launch a Cumbria-wide programme to support people into work. To ensure Connect to Work is a success, we are building a new team to drive programme mobilisation and live-running.

Join us as the Head of the Connect to Work Programme and play a key part in shaping the future of employability across Cumbria.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Connect to Work Programme.
- Being the day-to-day lead on behalf of Enterprising Cumbria, Cumberland council and Westmorland and Furness council, ensuring successful delivery of the programme.
- Build relationships with employers and local stakeholders.
- To ensure the effective management of the programmes budget, monitoring the expenditure and costs against benefits as the programme progresses.
- Represent the programme at senior stakeholder meetings.
- To lead planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues.
- Lead an operational and contract management team who will collectively be responsible for the success of Connect to Work.
This role is available on an Initial 3 year fixed-term basis.
