About The Role
The Head of CRM and Marketing Tech is accountable for the strategic direction, implementation, and operation of the Salesforce ecosystem and associated marketing technologies at UCAS. This includes Salesforce MarketingCloud, SalesCloud, ServiceCloud, Data Cloud, and integration with personalisation platforms and other customer data platforms. The role is central to delivering UCAS’s new strategy in 2025, enabling UCAS’s strategic aim of delivering personalised pathways for students and other beneficiaries, powered by cutting-edge digital and data capabilities.
As a senior leader in Digital Services, the postholder will be responsible for delivering the business outcomes of the new UCAS Strategy, by implementing new salesforce products and migration to EducationCloud, driving platform performance, innovation, and alignment with the broader engagement strategy. This includes collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Contact teams to deliver data-driven, user-centric services. The role ensures that technology capabilities underpin UCAS’s ambitions to offer timely, relevant, and trusted information to students and other beneficiaries, while driving efficiency and insight across customer engagement.

Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
- Extensive experience leading Salesforce and marketing platform implementations, operations and technology strategy in a digital-first, customer-centric and complex environment.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Technology or the ability to demonstrate a relevant level of experience.
- Extensive experience of working with or as part of an implementation consultancy and/or Salesforce professional services during the implementation, transition, and operational run phases of major programmes.
- A proven leader, and the ability to build strong collaborative, cohesive working relationships.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, Data Cloud, and Agentforce configuration and integration.
- Demonstrable experience implementing and managing AI-driven personalisation platforms and CDPs.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and foster a high-performance, delivery-focused culture.
- Strong understanding of platform security, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Services teams to co-deliver value through technology.
- Experience of leading and motivating a team, fostering a collaborative and high performing culture.
- Strong vendor and contract management capabilities, ideally including experience with Salesforce partners and Martech providers.
