Role Overview:
The Head of Data Networks will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the data network infrastructure within FluidOne. This will involve overseeing our core MPLS Network, datacentre infrastructure and network security solutions, ensuring that we deliver all elements of customer services.
Role Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of the core MPLS network to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver network solutions that meet customer requirements and service level agreements (SLAs). Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution to maintain network integrity. Develop network automation systems to maximise efficiency of deploying and managing the MPLS core network. 4th line point of escalation for customer faults
Define service offerings, establish service level agreements, and ensure high-quality service delivery to customers. Implement and maintain robust security measures and protocols to safeguard network infrastructure and customer data.
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of network professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and skill development.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to align network services with business objectives and customer needs. Cultivate relationships with key vendors, partners, and external stakeholders to enhance service offerings and stay competitive in the market.
Develop and manage the Network’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation. Monitor vendor relationships and contracts to optimize value and service delivery.
Work with acquired companies to ensure their networks adhere to group policies and industry best practice. Plan and implement migration of acquired networks onto centralised group MPLS network infrastructure.
