This major programme covers Airfield, Terminal Processor, Pier/Satellite, Baggage (arrivals and departures), IT, and retail/commercial third-party fit-outs. As the single point of accountability for all engineering and design matters, you will represent MAG with consultants and contractors, while acting as the key link to Group Technical, Asset Standards, and local Asset Management functions.
You will oversee the engineering delivery of the programme through a matrix management approach, lead the engagement of design and delivery partners, and ensure the quality of all technical briefings and requirements. Working closely with Group Assets and Airport Engineering Maintenance, you will agree on design standards to guarantee safe, secure, value-driven, and compliant delivery.
The role also involves supporting programme governance through technical reporting and risk management, and administering the technical standards derogation process.
About You

You have a strong track record in senior design and engineering roles within the infrastructure sector, ideally with significant exposure to aviation or transport projects. Your expertise includes applying value engineering and value management approaches to deliver best-value technical solutions. A natural leader, you excel at managing and inspiring teams, and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. You bring a high level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.
Your strong focus on quality ensures that technical briefings and requirements are clear, robust, and aligned with organisational standards. You are confident managing risk, supporting governance, and making critical technical decisions to keep programmes on track.
