The
Head of External Medical Education oversees the d
evelopment and execution of the medical education strategy including the impact measurement of each program instated.
The Strategies Will
- Be defined from needs analysis of all focus stakeholder groups, and will aim to deliver tangible impact on clinical management aligned to guidelines as well as positively impacting on care gaps.
- Include analysis of the channels of preference and to ensure appropriate and multi channel solutions are developed with an educational continuum to achieve optimal impact.
The medical education team will initially focus on developing medical education strategies for major launch brands from -2 years to +2 years from launch.
While the team reaches optimal capacity, there will also be responsibility for the Head of External Medical Education to
be responsible for the implementation of the medical education needs analysis and delivering the medical education initiatives for Oncology launch indications.
Main Responsibilities
Head of Function External Medical Education responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the medical education omnichannel strategy with full integration into Brand plan for all focus launch products with a clear strategic thread and medical education materials from global to local teams
- Define digital solutions which will serve to enhance access to medical education for the focus products
- Developing a clear communication of the strategy within the global team as well as co-creating with global stakeholders and key markets to ensure the educational initiatives are easily adaptable
- Develop a high performing team of medical education leads to deliver medical education impact for major launch brands
- Integrating the pre, peri and post engagement within the strategy and communicating this to the internal stakeholders including the associated KPIs and visualisation of all related metrics.
- Responsible for the management of the logistics partner and building a sustainable logistics operating model as the function expands.
Oncology Role For Medical Education Lead
- Develop clear needs analysis strategy to identify gaps in knowledge and skills among healthcare professionals.
- Analyze data from various sources to determine the educational needs in clinical practice and patient management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize educational topics and objectives based on identified needs.
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational curricula that align with adult learning principles and clinical relevance to create continued learning opportunities.
- Develop engaging instructional materials and utilize e-learning platforms and simulation tools to enhance learning.
- Clearly communicate to cross functional/cross country teams on the educational initiatives, including the in market expectations for pre, peri and post communication with the engaged external stakeholders.
In order to be considered for this role you must have an advanced Clinical/Science degree (e.g. Ph.D., MD, PharmD) in the life sciences
with extensive experience in medical education above country.
Strong experience
in development and execution of medical strategy Demonstrated experience
in curriculum design and instructional methods. Proficiency in
e-learning platforms, simulation tools, and data analytics and omnichannel experience.
You will have
exceptional leadership and influencing skills.
Fluency in English.
