An international non-profit tackling a major global public health and environmental issue is seeking a Head of Finance to join its senior team. With a £30m+ annual budget, a growing international footprint, and an ambitious 4-year strategy, this is a pivotal leadership role at a time of scale-up.

Reporting to the COO and managing a team of six, you’ll oversee both core finance and grant finance operations, ensuring the organisation maintains its strong track record of financial integrity and clean audits as it grows.

Your remit:

🔹 Lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and controls

🔹 Oversee grant finance operations and ensure donor compliance

🔹 Support scenario modelling for the next funding cycle

🔹 Maintain robust systems and processes aligned with SORP and regulatory requirements

🔹 Contribute to financial strategy, risk management and governance

🔹 Engage with senior leadership, Board committees and external stakeholders

We’re looking for someone who:

✔️ Is ACA qualified with strong post-qualification experience

✔️ Brings experience in the NGO/philanthropy sector (or clear transferable experience)

✔️ Combines technical excellence with pragmatic judgement and adaptability

✔️ Thrives in fast-paced, purpose-led environments

✔️ Can confidently lead a small, high-performing team and manage change
