Head of FP&A

We are currently recruiting for a FP&A Lead / Head of FP&A to join our exceptional PE-backed client, based in London.

You will have proven experience business partnering across entire organisations, involving yourself in strategy and recommending actions based on findings. This candidate will ideally have come from big 4, and worked their way up in FP&A within private equity portfolio companies. You will, most importantly, have experience with and enjoy setting up FP&A functions from scratch.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the annual budgeting process, long-range strategic planning, and rolling forecasts.
• Ensure alignment between financial plans and corporate strategy.
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and identify key business drivers.
• Partner with department heads to support business decisions through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Prepare materials and presentations for Board of Directors, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Synthesize complex financial data into clear, concise narratives and visuals.
• Work closely with the CFO to drive strategic initiatives, monitor company performance, and evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
• Support potential M&A efforts.
• Assess target company financials, valuation, and integration implications.
• Champion the use of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for data visualization and analytics.
• KPI development.
