We are the world’s largest university press. That means we serve the academic community as no other publisher can. We work in partnership with institutions and learned societies to bring a world of knowledge to the fingertips of students and researchers worldwide.
The goal is impact. Together with our academic communities, we curate and seamlessly connect together the ideas that push their fields forward, so they can learn from them, add to them, and continue a virtuous cycle of scholarship.
And because we are a part of the academic community and guided in everything we do by our mission, we re-invest in our people, our publishing, and the world-leading research institution of which we are part.
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven leader to grow our corporate revenues across print and digital journals, reprints, sponsored content and medical books. You will shape and deliver sales strategies that maximise global opportunities, strengthen relationships with key partners in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, and support our shift from print to a fully digital environment.
You will lead, motivate and develop the Corporate Sales team - comprised of our Supplements, Digital Advertising and Reprints team - ensuring targets are met and our portfolio is effectively represented to customers worldwide. Working closely with colleagues across Editorial, Marketing, Digital, Technology and other functions, you will help create budgets, pricing strategies, media kits and new revenue initiatives, while contributing to successful new journal bids.
This role requires strong stakeholder management, deep knowledge of the sector, and the ability to represent the business professionally with societies, partners and major accounts. You will focus on driving market insight, oversee external agents, uphold our ethics and values, and ensure our products and partnerships continue to grow in line with our long term goals.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
