As the Head of Health and Wellbeing Risk Management you will be responsible for the management of Occupational health and wellbeing providers with the aim of minimising occupational health risk by driving and implementing the strategy through the UK business with the engagement and collaboration of leadership teams, functional specialists, and partnership relationships with third party suppliers, education bodies and communities.
You will be a transformational leader with a full understanding of relationships and culture of organisations that impact on the wider determinants of health, wellbeing and health risk management resources and services.
What you’ll do:
- Provide strong transformational leadership, setting a clear vision and strategy for the proactive management of occupational health and wellbeing, including mental health.
- Provide accountability and responsibility for the delivery of the H&W area of the 2027 business plan actions.
- Engage and develop a collaborative partnership with HR and across the Business unit to ensure strategic goals and plans are achieved.
- Ensure that all significant organisational risks to health are consistently and appropriately identified, communicated and that programmes are put in place to effectively manage those health risks within the HoC working towards elimination.
- Expand the focus on Occupational Health from site operations to design and applying hierarchy of control to OH risk management.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Knowledge of mental health programme development & experience.
- Experience, in matrix or JV projects/organisations: construction or safety critical work environments.
- Experience and/or qualification in Occupational Safety, Risk Management or Occupational Hygiene preferred.
- Development and deployment of national & strategic programmes to effect cultural change.
- Data and digitally driven with demonstrable experience. Commercial service management including procurement and contract management
