As Head of Nursing and Clinical Services, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role within our Diagnostics and Secondary Care division, which includes Cromwell Hospital, The New Victoria Hospital, and a growing network of outpatient centres such as London Medical and Basinghall Clinic—with a new centre scheduled to open in 2026 and further expansion planned.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer and with a dotted line to the Associate Director of Outpatient and Diagnostic Centres, you’ll lead with vision and compassion—driving excellence in care, innovation, and workforce development. You’ll shape clinical strategy, champion patient experience, and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth across multiple sites.

How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
- Provide strong, visible leadership across diagnostic and outpatient centres, acting as a role model for nursing, clinical, and operational staff.
- Mentor and develop clinical leaders across the division.
- Define and monitor standards of care and service delivery in line with regulatory, professional, and contractual requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of clinical pathways and service models in response to new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with governance, commercial, and transformation teams to ensure safe, effective, and innovative service delivery.
- Oversee the planning and mobilisation of clinical services in new and acquired centres.
- Drive improvements in patient experience, net promoter scores, and employee engagement.
- Lead on regulatory readiness, clinical audits, and policy development.
- Act as a clinical lead for digital transformation and connected care pathways.
- Ensure delivery of key performance indicators across clinical services and contribute to financial and operational targets.
- Support leadership development and succession planning across the division.
- Act as a change agent, promoting a culture of innovation and evidence-based practice
- Drive innovation by championing change and embedding evidence-based practice across clinical services.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Registered Healthcare Professional (NMC or HCPC)
- Teaching/assessing qualification
- Management qualification (Diploma in Leadership or equivalent desirable)
- Senior nursing leadership experience
- Experience managing multi-professional teams across multiple sites
- Strong background in clinical governance, complaints management, and audit
- Proven ability to lead change and implement new services
- Financial and resource management skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
