A fast-growing digital agency is looking for a Head of Paid Media to lead a high-performing team and drive paid search & social strategy across a diverse client portfolio.
This role is ideal for an experienced paid media leader who enjoys combining hands-on delivery with team management, and who's confident owning performance, strategy and client communication.
This position is split roughly 50/50 between team leadership and campaign delivery.
You will:
Lead and develop a paid media team (senior, manager and execs).
Oversee strategy and performance across 40+ active accounts.
Own key KPIs and ensure campaigns deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Work across paid search and paid social channels - Google Ads (must-have), Bing, Meta, TikTok, Instagram and more.
Get hands-on where needed with execution, optimisation and troubleshooting.
Partner with account management, data, content and digital PR teams to drive results.
Communicate technical insights, performance updates and recommendations to clients.
Make proactive commercial observations and contribute to wider growth initiatives.
Budgets vary significantly - from £5K per month to £1M+ - offering strong variety and strategic challenge.
Strong technical background in paid search - Google Ads expertise is essential.
Experience across paid social platforms is highly beneficial.
Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced agency environment.
Confident managing both enterprise-level and smaller campaigns.
Data-literate and able to interpret performance, measurement and conversions.
Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Ideally 3 days per week in the Kent office (55 minutes from St Pancras).
For exceptional candidates, remote-first arrangements are possible with 1-2 office visits per month for key meetings.
2-3 stages:
Introductory interview with the hiring lead.
In-person or virtual interview with senior leadership, including a scenario-based task (e.g., "How is AI changing paid search?").
