Head of Partnerships

As Head of Partnerships you will be responsible for delivering the Partnership strategy to support the delivery of HBSUK’s objectives. You will be responsible for identifying, onboarding and Managing HBSUKs Business Partners ensuring all SLA’s are adhered to and Supplier relationships are strong. You will lead the Partnership team in ensuring their training and Market knowledge is at an excellent level. You will be responsible for the Governance framework and any Audits required. This role demands a strong commercial acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in project management within a complex stakeholder environment.

Essential Criteria;
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a senior partnerships, business development, or implementation role, within the healthcare, diagnostics, or a related regulated industry.
- Demonstrable experience in complex contract
- Negotiation, procurement cycles and establishing governance frameworks
- History of managing complex supplier relationships and developing partnership strategies
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading successful implementations from inception to completion.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities, able to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and performance optimisation.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop actionable partnership strategies.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, comfortable updating and influencing senior leadership.
- A solid understanding of the UK healthcare landscape and regulatory environment.
Desirable;
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING
- Formal project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
EXPERIENCE
- Experience managing imaging or pathology networks.
OTHER JOB-RELATED REQUIREMENTS
- Able to travel in the UK as required
Within this position, you will mainly be;
Partnership Development & Contracting:
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of new strategic partnerships with diagnostic providers and other key stakeholders. Aligning with our key clients where appropriate to design a partnership network that meets our clients needs.
- Drive the completion of all contractual agreements, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with HBSUK's objectives.
- Establish robust governance frameworks for all partnerships, including clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
Implementation Leadership:
- Spearhead the successful implementation and onboarding of new diagnostic providers and services, ensuring seamless integration with HBSUK's operational workflows.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Operations, Clinical, Product, IT, Finance) and external partners to develop comprehensive implementation plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Define and agree Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with all new partners to ensure mutual understanding and commitment to success.
Strategy & Relationship Management:
- Develop and refine HBSUK's overarching partnership strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and service enhancement.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with existing and prospective partners, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic engagement.
- Proactively address any challenges or issues within new partnerships, seeking mutually beneficial resolutions.
Performance Monitoring & Optimisation:
- Establish robust data and reporting mechanisms to monitor partner performance against agreed KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Regularly analyse performance data to identify areas for optimisation, efficiency improvements, and value creation.
- Track the progress of all implementation projects and ongoing partnership performance, providing timely and accurate updates to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Continuous Improvement & Growth:
- Actively explore and onboard new partners that align with HBSUK's strategic objectives and address emerging market needs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HBSUK's partnership and implementation processes.
- Identify gaps in the service HBSUK provide and identify new partners to Deliver those services in line with the SLT
