We are seeking a
visionary and motivated Head of Pharmacy to lead and develop pharmacy services across
Primary Care and Community Services in the West. This is a senior leadership role within the Pharmacy and Medicines Management Division, offering the opportunity to shape strategic direction, enhance patient care, and drive innovation across diverse community settings.
Main duties of the job
- Provide professional leadership and strategic oversight for pharmacy services in primary care and community settings.
- Collaborate with GPs, community teams, and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.
- Lead on medicines optimisation, prescribing support, and the development of innovative pharmacy models in the community.
- Ensure compliance with medicines legislation, and contribute to emergency planning and procurement strategies.
- Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives across community services.
- Support the implementation of digital and technological solutions to enhance medicines access and delivery.
- Promote and coordinate audit, research, and service development in Medicines Management.
