Head of Policy and Legislation Committee Service

The Senedd Commission is seeking a strategic and inspiring individual to lead our Policy and Legislation Committee Service. This is a key role supporting the committees that scrutinise Welsh Government policy, legislation, and spending.

Your role

• Lead a multidisciplinary team supporting Senedd committees with procedural, policy, and administrative expertise.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in how we support scrutiny and public engagement.
• Play a key role in preparing for the Seventh Senedd and the expansion to 96 Members in 2026.
• Collaborate across the organisation to deliver the Senedd Commission’s strategic goals.

We are looking for a confident and collaborative leader with experience of managing diverse teams in high-pressure settings.

You will need to be skilled in delivering high-quality, impartial advice in a parliamentary or equivalent environment, and passionate about democratic engagement with experience in designing innovative ways to connect with stakeholders and the public.
