Overview:
Our client, a GCC based pension fund, are hiring a Head of Private Equity Fund Investments to lead their private equity strategy. This is a senior position responsible for driving the fund’s global private equity allocation, with a focus on primary fund commitments
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping long-term private markets exposure for a sophisticated, long-term institutional capital base. The role will be based full-time in the GCC
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and execution of the private equity fund investment program, focusing primarily on primary fund commitments across geographies and sectors
- Build and manage a portfolio of top-tier private equity managers with a focus on performance, diversification, and alignment
- Oversee sourcing, due diligence, negotiations, and ongoing monitoring of fund investments
- Collaborate with the senior leadership to align private equity strategy with overall portfolio objectives
- Evaluate opportunities in secondaries and co-investments as appropriate
- Develop internal investment frameworks, reporting tools, and performance analytics
- Represent the pension fund in industry events and maintain strong GP relationships
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of experience in private equity fund investing (e.g., institutional allocator, fund of funds, family office, or sovereign wealth fund)
- Deep experience in primary fund selection and portfolio construction
- Global exposure to top-tier private equity GPs and strong market insight
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CAIA) is preferred
- Willingness to relocate to the GCC and work on-site full time
