We're looking for a Head of Procurement to join our Kier Places team based in London.
Location: London - hybrid working available, with travel to offices as required
Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Head of Procurement, you'll be working within the Kier Places Team, supporting them in providing strategic, visible, and directive leadership across the procurement function.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Be the visible as the Procurement lead across the Places Business Unit.
- Establish, build and maintain strategic relationships with key members of Supply Chain to meet delivery and growth expectations of the Kier Places Business Unit.
- One point of contact into the SLT for the whole of Places procurement.
- Lead on ensuring procurement best practice is shared to the wider team to support continuous improvement.
- Driving the execution of the national procurement strategy across all projects. Ensuring we leverage our scale by excellent demand planning and cross project procurement liaising with other parts of the BU/stream as required.
What are we looking for?
This role of Head of Procurement is great for you if have:
- Team leadership either direct line management or as a functional leader
- Knowledge of a wide range of procurement conditions
- Strong contractual experience
- Ability to design and implement strategic change
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Member of CIPS or other relevant professional body, or working towards is advantageous
