The Role? As the new Head of Programmes and Project Delivery, you`ll play a pivotal role in turning their most ambitious corporate plan yet — “Tenants at Heart” — into reality. This is a senior leadership role with real breadth and impact. You’ll provide both strategic and operational leadership across the programme and project portfolio, ensuring that the design and delivery of organisational change and technology initiatives are tightly aligned to their core purpose: to provide quality affordable homes across the Midlands. You will lead the planning, development and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, strengthening business value, organisational capability and long-term resilience. The expectation is that results are delivered at pace and focus on outcomes that matter: improving tenant experience, driving operational efficiency, delivering value for money and embedding sustainable change.

A key part of your role will be ensuring the project governance is lean, simple and effective — enabling pace and innovation while maintaining transparency, accountability and control. You’ll ensure a disciplined, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach to project management, which cuts through complexity, manages competing priorities and embeds success so it lasts.

Ideal Candidate? They’re seeking a credible and experienced programme and project delivery leader, with a strong track record of managing complex portfolios within large or multifaceted organisations. You`ll be adept at influencing at Executive and Board level, aligning investment with strategic priorities, and delivering major digital and business change programmes on time, within budget and with clear, measurable outcomes. You will bring proven expertise in agile, lean and iterative delivery approaches, enabling pace, accountability and sustained value across teams and stakeholders. You`ll also have deep experience in operational delivery and process improvement, using insight to drive practical, tenant-focused change. You will be commercially astute, with a strong grasp of revenue and capital budget management, governance, risk and assurance frameworks, and the ability to balance speed with effective control.
