Role Summary

M&G Life is a division of M&G plc and runs the Prudential Assurance Company, responsible for the manufacture and review of all insurance products including our legacy back book and life and pension products open for new business within the UK retail market. PruFund, the market leading smoothed multi-asset fund, has gained around £64 billion of investment from more than 450,000 individual policyholders in the UK over the last 20 years, advised by 5,000 advice firms. Our ambition is to grow and diversify access to PruFund in the retail advised platform market, enabling financial advisers greater choice and flexibility in how they invest on behalf of their clients.

As the Head of PruFund 3rd Party Distribution, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the development and execution of strategies to expand PruFund’s presence across the platform and wholesale markets. Working closely with the Head of Platform Solutions and reporting to the Director of PruFund Proposition, you will lead the engagement with third-party providers, design integration solutions, and shape the wholesale roadmap in alignment with evolving distributor, partner, and customer needs. Your remit spans strategic planning, sales strategy development, and stakeholder collaboration, requiring expert knowledge of platform distribution, financial services regulation, and industry best practices. With a strong customer focus, commercial acumen, and proven ability to build and influence relationships, you will be instrumental in maximising distribution opportunities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving innovation within a dynamic, customer-centric environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Drive engagement with third-party providers to create integration and distribution options for Prufund in wholesale markets.
• Lead development of the wholesale roadmap for Prufund, understanding the needs of key distributors, partners and end customers.
• Collaborate across the Distribution team to develop and integrate the sales strategy for PruFund in the wholesale market, utilising blending strategies, risk rating and assessment tools and targeting decumulation.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• Significant experience of platform distribution and platform operations at a senior level, including interpreting management information to manage performance of multiple individuals over a wide geography.
• Expert level knowledge of historical and emerging consumer trends and behaviors in the UK platform market.
• Deep understanding of platform propositions, markets, technology, intermediary businesses and competitors.
• Investment knowledge with specific experience in multi-asset and smooth fund investment strategies.
• Awareness of risk and compliance requirements to ensure the business area meets external regulatory, legal, and industry obligations.

• Understanding of the Statements of Principle and Code of Practice.
• Excellent working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of industry best practice, good network/links with external bodies and individuals on the same field.
