We are aiming to recruit an exceptional individual to join Team Bedford and play a central role in shaping and delivering the Borough's bold and ambitious place-shaping agenda.
The post holder will report to our Service Director Regulation, Housing & Customer Contact and be responsible for the service delivery of all aspects of Environmental Health, Corporate Health & Safety, Trading Standards, Licencing, Registration, Community Safety, Resilience and Flood Risk. This is a new post, created as part of a senior level reorganisation.
To succeed in this role you will need to hold a suitable professional qualification in one the related fields and be an experienced, highly motivated and professional leader. You will have a passion for place-shaping services with a focus on achieving delivery. You will also have a track record of developing and nurturing talent, of developing creative solutions to improve service delivery, and strong budgeting and financial management skills to ensure value for money.
