As Head of Risk, you will have a critical role in shaping and enhancing risk management across the Group and ensuring that we have a risk-led approach to all that we do. You will be part of a dynamic risk, control and internal audit team and will be able to use your knowledge and skills to be a trusted and valued strategic business partner for senior leaders across the Group.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Collaboration with the Director of Risk, Control & Internal Audit and others to develop the risk management strategy
• Implement the Group’s approach to risk management through a clear risk management framework
• Engage with stakeholders across the Group to facilitate reviews and agree and track actions to improve how we manage risk
• Embed risk management into strategic and day to day decision making
• Monitor and report on progress how the Group is improving how it is managing risk, in line with its risk appetite
• Drive risk awareness and the risk culture across the Group
• Act as a trusted advisor on risk
• Make best use of technology to support the risk management approach

Experience/Qualifications:

Essential:

• Detailed knowledge and experience of designing and implementing risk management frameworks and systems in large, complex international organisations
• Proactive, can-do attitude
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Outstanding relationship management capability, including working confidently with management at all levels to build trust and credibility and ability to influence to drive change
• Organised and able to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Commercially aware, with a desire to work with the business to identify pragmatic solutions to enhance how we manage risk
• Enthusiastic, confident and a team player
• Detail-oriented with the ability to see and understand the bigger picture and generate ideas
• Positive and open personality, with drive and self-motivation and a continuous improvement focus
• Good problem solving, analytical and project management experience and proven track record of managing complex projects / initiatives including planning, organising, managing projects and delivering within agreed timelines
• Curious, with a desire to learn

Desirable:

• Risk and/or accounting qualification
• Fluency in a second European language
