Position Overview
AirEx is excited to be opening a position for a highly driven sales professional as Head of Sales to help realise and exceed the company’s sales goals in the Social Housing and the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) retrofit markets. You will need to be both a strong individual contributor who is able to lead by example through direct sales activity and an inspiring team leader who supports and develops high-performing sales talent. As AirEx is a sales-led organisation this role will be crucial in achieving growth.
In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
- Developing and implementing the business development strategy across a number of markets including ECO, Social Housing and Local Authorities.
- Leading, coaching and recruiting a high performing sales team, setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
- Owning and delivering against revenue targets across multiple retrofit-related customer segments and assessing performance (tracking, measuring and analysing commercial metrics & targets using KPIs / OKRs)
- Creating and managing robust sales forecasts and reporting processes for both the sales team and senior management.
- Generating and nurturing B2B leads, building relationships and implementing sales approaches to progress deals from early engagement to close and repeat business
- Proven ability to build trust and relationships primarily through in-person engagement with customers in social housing landlords and installers
- Work with the wider commercial and operations teams to identify opportunities and risks in delivering the company’s commercial goals
You Will Have
- A passion for sustainability and working to support vulnerable people
- Strong track record of sales performance and sales leadership in a B2B environment (experience in climate tech, energy, retrofit, construction, or housing is a bonus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a desire to achieve exceptional results
- Expert experience in driving business development for a key customer segment or route to market, including forecasting, monitoring progress and reporting
- Mastery of customer prospecting, follow-up strategies, sales approaches and techniques
- Strong experience in nurturing and managing customer relationships
- Strong ability to interpret data, market information and capture customer insights to inform strategies and priorities
- Willingness to travel across the UK to meet customers.
