Head of Tax

JSS Tax are hiring for a Head of Tax for a leading blue-chip retail company based in Bedfordshire.

This is a 18 month contract assignment paying circa £110,000-£125,000 plus benefits package including a 20%-30% bonus.

This role is available on a largely fully-remote basis, with as little as 2 days per month in the office being a possibility.

Heading up a small in-house tax function, the Head of Tax will be responsible for all areas of tax for the business in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee and manage the tax compliance processes
• Support the quarterly finance work from a tax perspective
• Continue to enact the group's tax planning and tax strategy initiatives
• Form part of the senior finance leadership team and provide commercial input
• Business partner with a variety of stakeholders and respond to tax queries from across the business
• Develop and support the in-house tax team
• Undertake regular tax and finance project work
