Role Description
Lead the creation and implementation of a market-leading Testing Practice across Allianz Holdings UK within the Transformation division. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape testing strategy, drive innovation, and influence delivery outcomes across strategic programmes and agile squads. This role offers flexibility in terms of location and can be based at one of our offices in Guildford, Bournemouth, or London.
In this role, you will be:
- Leading the design and execution of a unified testing strategy aligned with business goals
- Embedding robust quality assurance, risk management, and governance practices
- Leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing testing leadership team
- Managing testing budgets, resources, and third-party partnerships
- Driving adoption of automation frameworks and Gen AI technologies
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure testing outcomes meet business needs
- Reporting on KPIs, quality metrics, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Championing continuous improvement and innovation in testing practices
Salary Information
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Essential Skills
- Leading testing strategy and delivery across large-scale programmes
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies (functional, technical, system, business)
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall delivery models
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Skilled in risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strategic thinking with a continuous improvement mindset
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Gen AI technologies in testing
- Project management knowledge and certifications
- ISTQB or CSTE certification
- Experience managing offshore and third-party testing teams
- Skilled in reporting, analytics, and documentation of testing outcomes
- Proven ability to introduce new technologies and methodologies in mature organisations
