Head of FX Trading - Remote - FinTech - £200k+
Step up from trader to team leader and take full control of a newly built OTC desk.
You’ll shape strategy from day one, with full ownership of how the desk operates, how liquidity is sourced and growing the team around you. You’ll also get equity and a share of the upside, directly linking your success to your rewards.
Work fully remotely from anywhere in the world in UTC -2 / +3 time zones with regular team trips to locations like Barcelona, Lisbon and Morocco.
What you'll do
Set up and lead an OTC trading desk from scratch, giving you full control over strategy, execution and growing the team. You’ll focus on improving liquidity access, which will drive both your desk’s success and the wider business growth.
Build out a sales network and work closely with key counterparties like NGOs and corporates bringing in significant USD flows into Cameroon. Your ability to trade OTC pairs will unlock major opportunities.
Source USD and EUR in illiquid markets, giving you a chance to develop unique trading strategies and build long-term relationships. You’ll also have the freedom to shape how the desk evolves, including hiring and mentoring future team members.
What you'll need
- Strong background in emerging markets FX, ideally with exposure to XAF/XOF currencies
- Experience in investment banking, trading or corporate FX sales
- French language skills are strongly preferred, as is knowledge of African currency flows
