Your Role: Head of Trading – DAX Outdoor
A digital outdoor specialist sales role responsible for revenue generation across Global’s market leading DAX Outdoor platform. This role requires a high standard of digital and outdoor knowledge and will work collaboratively with the wider Global Outdoor and Programmatic teams to establish the DAX Outdoor offering and drive incremental revenue from digital specialists and agency trading desks with the programmatic team, as well as ensure we are driving revenue though the outdoor buying points and agencies.
You will be the commercial Trading lead responsible for the commercial deals across DAX outdoor, the pricing strategy and the delivery of the DAX outdoor number, alongside the Director of Trading.
As the Head of Trading – DAX Outdoor at Global, you will:
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing revenue growth in line with expectations.
- Maintain a high profile and presence within agency & digital departments, leading all aspects of commercial opportunities and incentives.
- Own forecasting and ongoing revenue management with Outdoor Commercial team, DAX Outdoor BD team and Programmatic managers.
- Support in the running and implementation of Global’s DAX Outdoor trading deals.
- Ensure that the agency, programmatic and trading teams continue to be motivated, challenged and enabled to succeed.
- Work closely with the business units to ensure that DAX Outdoor plays a major role in client pitches and client inspiration sessions.
- Collaborate closely with the data team to identify commercial opportunities and establish strategic partnerships within digital specialists.
- Ensure that the teams are aware and incentivised (where needed) to ensure the success of both existing business lines and emerging revenue areas (E.g., new formats or new inventory partners).
- Deliver alignment between the commercial team and other relevant departments to ensure inclusion, best practice, and inspiration.
- Represent DAX Outdoor internally and externally.
- Drive new business from incremental and diverse revenue sources.
- Consistently strong external presence, including representing DAX at industry events.
- Help ensure commercial teams have strong and relevant insight into key developments to the DAX Outdoor proposition, as well as market trends across programmatic outdoor and beyond.
- Work with the programmatic team to make the complex simple and improve the level of programmatic expertise across the commercial teams.
- Align your approach with other leads within the DAX business as well as the wider Global Commercial department.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:
- Worked with the key commercial partners to establish your role and put in place the accurate operating cadence within the agency hub structures.
- Identified and established key external contacts across the leading agencies and trading desks with an emphasis on strong external presence.
- Set up best practice to ensure the, business directors and outdoor sales team have strong product knowledge, consistent communication and clear strategic direction to improve DAXO revenues.
- Established close working relationships across the DAX leadership team, including Data, Programmatic, Operations, Supply, Product and Strategy.
What You’ll Need
- The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following: A strong background of leading commercial teams and a drive to deliver against challenging revenue goals (ideally with experience of matrix management).
- A passion and a strong background of building successful, senior relationships with media agencies, trade desks and clients.
- First-rate knowledge of programmatic trading in Out of home, that spans across technical and operational aspects, with a primary commercial focus.
- Broad and deep understanding of the wider digital media landscape.
- The gravitas to work well with senior partners both internal and external.
- Attention to detail, delivering accurate revenue reporting and forecasting.
- Strong presenting skills and the ability to confidently deliver presentations to large audiences and senior/c-suite management.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical elements of programmatic to a non-technical audience.
- A wide network of contacts across UK digital and programmatic markets.
