Brightsun Travel is looking for an experienced, strategic marketing leader to own our brand and reputation, grow our customer base, and manage high profile relationships with key airline, hotel and tourism board partners across the travel industry. This senior role leads our UK arm of marketing, PR, strategic partnerships and events.​

This role is temporarily based in Hounslow until we move to new offices in Fulham Broadway in Summer 2026.

Role purpose

• Lead and execute an integrated marketing, PR, partnerships and events strategy that supports Brightsun Travel’s growth targets in leisure and corporate travel.​
• Manage high-profile collaborations with global airlines, tourism boards and other key partners.​
• Position Brightsun Travel as a trusted, expert travel brand through powerful storytelling, travel partnerships, media coverage and standout events.​
• Plan, execute and measure integrated campaigns (above the line, digital, PR, and events) that align with business objectives and industry demand.
• Design performance-driven campaigns with clear KPIs (reach, engagement, traffic, lead generation, campaign ROI).
• Manage a marketing team to deliver the strategy based both in the UK and working with overseas staff.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and leadership

• Develop and own the annual brand marketing, PR, partnerships and events plan and budget for Brightsun Travel, aligned with commercial goals.​
• Lead and manage the marketing team and manage external media and advertising agencies and suppliers.​

Brand, content and reputation

• Maintain a compelling brand narrative and ensure consistent brand usage across all materials and channels.
• Create and approve multi-channel content with in-house and external agencies that resonates with leisure and corporate travel clients for customer demand and lead generation.
• Guard and evolve Brightsun Travel’s brand positioning, messaging and visual identity across all channels (website, email, social, print, above the line).​
• Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns to drive enquiries and bookings, using data to optimise performance.​
• Ensure communications comply with industry regulations, data privacy laws and brand guidelines.
• Oversee reviews (for example: Trustpilot / Google) and ensure appropriate investigations and responses working with the marketing and sales teams

Digital marketing and analytics

• Oversee digital channels (website, email marketing, PPC, social, SEO/content), ensuring a strong customer journey and conversion optimization.
• Monitor metrics, run A/B tests, and adapt strategies based on data; present regular KPI reports to senior leadership.

PR and communications

• Manage a PR agency and plan an annual calendar for target coverage
• Approve press releases, prepare quotes, statements and Q&As;
• Crisis and reputation management when required.​

Partnerships

• Manage and negotiate strategic marketing partnerships with airlines, hotel groups, and tourism boards that complement Brightsun Travel’s offering.​
• Develop joint campaigns, co-funded marketing and promotional packages that deliver measurable ROI for Brightsun Travel and partners.​
• Deliver and manage cross-channel partner marketing campaigns with the support of agencies working closely with sales and product teams

Events and experiences

• Plan and deliver staff, supplier and trade events, partner activations, and VIP client hospitality events/ evenings
• Manage event budgets, logistics delivery, and post-event follow up against objectives.​

Reporting and insight

• Track and report on key KPIs (including; brand awareness, leads, bookings, media coverage, partnership performance and measurable ROI)
• Ensure growth and maintenance of key brand owned channels including website, social media and databases

Required qualifications and skills

• Proven track record leading marketing, PR and events within the travel industry or a closely related sector.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with media, agencies, partners and industry associations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with ability to inspire cross-functional teams.
• Excellent and immaculate written and verbal communication, storytelling and presentation skills.
• Data-driven mind-set with ability to analyse performance and optimize campaigns.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple campaigns and events simultaneously.
• Comfortable representing the brand publicly and acting as a spokesperson when required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms; familiarity with travel industry distribution channels.

This role is temporarily based in Hounslow, London until we move to new offices in Fulham Broadway in Summer 2026.

Salary competitive and negotiable dependent on relevant experience in travel and seniority of previous roles.
