We are currently seeking an individual to join the team as
Head of UK Pension and Benefits.
In this role you will be responsible for: -
- Strategic oversight, development and implementation of the UK pensions strategy for both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) schemes in close partnership with relevant stakeholders in Group Pensions, Finance, Pension Strategy and Pension Risk.
- Closely partnering the Pension Scheme Executive (Trustee oversight) team ensuring regular alignment that HSBC pension schemes are delivering on the long-term interests of members and the bank with strong operational delivery and risk management.
- Monitoring changes in UK pension legislation, advising leadership and relevant stakeholders on implications.
- The UK employee benefits portfolio, ensuring benefits are competitive, cost-effective, compliant of regulations and supportive of employee wellbeing and retention.
- Management of key vendors and related third parties for pensions and benefits.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: -
- Extensive experience in UK pension management, ideally within a large financial services organisation.
- Strong technical experience in DB and DC schemes, pension operations and a deep understanding of UK pensions law, regulatory frameworks and trustee governance.
- Strong technical knowledge and track record of management of UK Benefits.
- Experience leading benefits renewals and market reviews, whilst ensuring smooth operational delivery including oversight of the annual enrolment window.
- Experience attending and presenting at relevant committee and governance forums and advising UK senior leadership appropriately on complex pension matters.
The role location can be based in London or Birmingham and reports to the Head of Performance & Reward HSBC, UK.
