Location: Brighton - City Campus, Moulsecoomb and Falmer Salary: £71,566 to £75,919 per annum Closing Date: Friday 15 August 2025 Reference: VCXXXX-25-167

We are seeking an exceptional individual, who currently works at the University of Brighton, to lead the Vice-Chancellor’s Office (VCO) and play a pivotal role in supporting the Vice-Chancellor and University Executive Board. If you thrive in a fast-paced, strategic environment and are passionate about higher education, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

As Head of the VCO, you will be providing strategic support, policy insight, and coordination for executive leadership. You’ll ensure the seamless delivery of key priorities, advise on complex issues, and act as a trusted liaison between the VCO, senior stakeholders, and external partners. With responsibility for shaping executive communications, organising high-level events, and contributing to senior leadership initiatives, you’ll be at the heart of the University’s strategic activity.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Be a collaborative, solutions-focused leader with excellent judgement,
  • Have strong Interpersonal communication skills, and a deep understanding of the Higher Education landscape.
  • You’ll have a strong track record of working with senior leaders, managing complex workloads, and delivering results across policy, operations, and team leadership.
