St Luke’s is a fantastic school that provide excellent educational opportunities and outcomes in the heart of EC1. There is exceptional energy and commitment on the part of the staff team and St Luke’s is a truly happy setting for adults and children, with excellent results.

We work closely with other local primary schools, and in particular we work with Moreland School which is currently federated with St Luke’s, with the Headteachers of St Luke’s and Moreland working together under the strategic direction of the federation governing board.

We are looking to appoint a Headteacher to lead our school into its next phase. The successful candidate will provide effective leadership to secure continuous improvement and success across the whole school.

The school is conveniently situated in the heart of Islington and serves a vibrant, diverse community. It is currently part of a federation with Moreland School. Our federation was created to support Moreland School, which St Luke’s has successfully done, and we are now looking to the next stage of St Luke’s journey as a church school.

About You

The governors would like to appoint a Headteacher with ambition who will embrace new opportunities as the school determines its next chapter.

The successful applicant will have the energy and charisma to forge strong relationships with staff and the community we have served generation upon generation.

The Headteacher will be required to uphold and promote the school’s Christian vision and ethos within day-to-day working practices, and value each child regardless of their background to enable them to reach their full potential.
