Role Purpose (Job Profile):
This role will provide essential health and safety support within the business, with impact upon all areas and departments. You will be a go-to for engagement on health and safety topics across the business, including shop floor and testing facilities.
Main Duties:
Support departments in creating and updating Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
Assist stakeholders in collating COSHH information, including inventories, data sheets and risk assessments.
Actively champion safety promotion across the business, including delivering toolbox talks and collaborating with the health and safety committee.
Lead on accident and incident investigations, including reporting out of root cause analysis and actions required.
Conduct audits and inspections across the business to ensure compliance with internal procedures and legislative requirements.
Provide advice and guidance as necessary on health and safety topics.

Core Competencies:
Knowledge and experience of key topics, including: PUWER, DSEAR, LOLER, Vibration, Occupational Hygiene, Fire Safety, COSHH, DSE, PPE, Working at Height and Manual Handling.
Understanding of Contractor Control, RAMS review, Statutory Inspections and supporting Facilities and Maintenance teams.
Qualifications and Experience Level:
A NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent qualification is required, and an auditing qualification would be preferable in addition to this. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in a high-performance industry, would be advantageous. Experience in the application of CDM health and safety principles would be beneficial.
