Health & Safety Advisor - Construction / Property Maintenance

Location: London – 2 days office (Tower Hamlets & London Bridge), 3 days on-site (mainly South East London)

Salary: Up to £45,000 plus company vehicle and fuel card

Hyde is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor (Senior Health and Safety Officer) to take the lead in shaping a safer, smarter working environment across our London Property Maintenance operations. If you thrive on making a visible impact, enjoy being out on-site as much as in the office, and want to work for an organisation that invests in your growth, this is your chance.

As a Health & Safety Advisor (Senior Health and Safety Officer) at Hyde, you’ll be a trusted technical lead — delivering training, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with contractors, managers, and operatives, you’ll help embed safe systems of work and strengthen our safety culture from the ground up.

Key Duties

  • Deliver safe systems of work across Property Maintenance London.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and investigate incidents.
  • Lead health and safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Update and improve policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance on H&S projects and deputise for the H&S Manager.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to safety culture improvement.
  • The ability to interpret legislation and deliver effective training.
