Health & Safety Manager (Field-Based/Hybrid Role)

Location: Hybrid with travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland

Type: Full-Time (39 hours per week)

HBE is a specialist in Legionella control, compliance, and water hygiene services. We work with major clients across public and private sectors.

As our Health & Safety Manager, you'll support the delivery of safe, effective services across a mix of site-based and office operations. This is a hybrid role — blending site visits, home working, and time at our Head Office — and ideally suited to someone who understands how safety works on the ground, not just on paper.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supporting HBE’s field staff with practical, proactive H&S guidance.
• Conducting site visits, audits, and inspections across a variety of client locations.
• Ensuring appropriate RAMS, risk assessments, and training are in place.
• Helping integrate H&S considerations into project planning and daily operations.
• Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and supporting management responses.
• Keeping records to align with audit and compliance standards.
• Delivering toolbox talks and internal training sessions where required.
• Staying up to date on HSA & HSE legislation and promoting best practice.

What You’ll Need:

• Level 7 H&S qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
• 3+ years of H&S advisory experience, ideally in a multi-site, service-based environment.
• Familiarity with ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001.
• Strong communication skills – comfortable advising both office teams and field staff.
• IOSH graduate membership (or working towards).
• Ability to investigate incidents and produce clear reports.
• A practical mindset and willingness to support operations hands-on.
