Administrator | Health and Safety | Warrington | Private Hospital | Part-time, Permanent | 22.5 hrs per week | £12.26 per hour
Spire Cheshire Hospital, Warrington is looking for an experienced H&S Administrator to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis.

Working Hours: 22.5
hours per week, through Monday - Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM
Contract Type: Permanent
As Health and Safety Administrator you will support the HUB Health & Safety Manager to coordinate the implementation and management of the Spire Healthcare Health & Safety Management Systems in the HUB site Spire Cheshire.
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
- All administration requirements for the maintenance of the Health & Safety Management System folders (including updating libraires such as Health and Safety non-clinical risk assessment library, COSHH risk assessment library, Manual Handling risk assessment library ensuring actions have been added to the Hospital Wide Action Plan for monitoring, also inform HUB Health and Safety Manager if actions aren’t being completed in a timely manner)
- Promote a positive culture of health and safety in the workplace
- Support with near miss reporting, complete hospital wide walk rounds and report any near misses on DCIQ to support in reaching target
- To deal with general queries, either directing them to the HUB Health & Safety Manager or taking messages or dealing with the enquiry in a professional and efficient manner
- Updating local health and safety arrangements as required and distributing throughout the Spire Cheshire.
- Maintenance of Local Hospital Wide Action Plan spread sheet in Spire Cheshire, and follow up on outstanding actions as directed by the HUB Health & Safety Manager.
- Administration of Health & Safety Flash Alerts, responding to Central Health and Safety Team within the time frame of 7 days and collation of departmental responses across Spire Cheshire
- Take and distribute minutes of all Health and Safety Committee meetings and Safety Representatives meetings within Spire Cheshire
What do you need to have?
- IOSH Managing Safely Course
- Previous experience working in the healthcare industry or a similar customer orientated organisation
- Understanding of Health & Safety and risk issues and legislation
- Competent user of the MS Office suite of products in order to meet the requirements of the role
- Strong communication skills
- Appropriate interpersonal and team working skills
