Job Overview

Assist the Registered Nurse in the, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. (KSF Dimension 8 level 1 )

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

At the direction of the Registered Nurse participate fully in the delivery of planned nursing care, applying and evaluating advanced clinical skills. (KSF Dimension 8 level 2)

Participate in the assessment of health care needs through the completion and interpretation of assessment tools documentation. (KSF Dimension 7 Level 2)

Assist the RGN in the evaluation of care and completion of patient documents. (KSF Dimension 1 level 2)

Involve patients and carers/relatives in the delivery of care. (KSF Dimension 8 level 2).

Provide reassurance support to patients and carers/family. (KSF Dimension 1 level 2)

Work collaboratively with others in the Ward to ensure that patients needs are met. (KSF Dimension 8 level 2 )

Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations. (KSF Dimension 3 Level 1 )

Undertake transfer and escort of patients with moderate dependency, as directed. (KSF Dimension 3 level 1 )
